Music has constantly played an important role in constituting American culture, where people have expressed themselves through music during flourishing and turbulent times.
Culture; differentiate one societal group from another by identification beliefs, behaviors, language, traditions, Art, fashion styles, food, religion, politics, and economic systems.
The spirit of Ramadan is based on helping and giving to others, so we couldn’t miss this one out! There are so many ways you can give something to those in need other than money. The prophet (PBUH) said that even a smile is charity. Help a family member or a friend with something they are finding difficult, this could be anything from their homework to a project they’re taking on, or even by offering some moral support. You can also volunteer at a homeless shelter and help those in need of food and refuge. Anything you do to put a smile on someone else’s face counts!
We went about this, however, in a completely different way than what is normally done when examining and studying other cultures; we learned an amazing amount of information about these cultures simply by looking at their music.
